Volunteer at IRIS
Volunteers are an invaluable part of the IRIS team, helping us welcome and walk alongside refugees as they begin new lives in Connecticut. Our volunteers are community members, professionals, students, retirees and others who serve with refugees and the IRIS staff in a variety of ways.
If you are interested in volunteering at the IRIS office, please click HERE to see which roles are currently available. Please note that all positions are unpaid and volunteers typically help out between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
If you are interested in volunteering one-on-one directly with a refugee, please click HERE.
TO APPLY: Please fill out the IRIS Volunteer Application HERE. Selected applicants will be contacted for an interview, and if accepted, will attend a Volunteer Orientation session at our office before beginning their commitment. Questions? Email the Volunteer Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
