Home: Lost & Found was held at Artspace on Sunday, September 17, 2017 and highlighted the refugee experience through art and music. It featured Unpacked: Refugee Baggage — a multi-media installation by Syrian-born artist and architect, Mohamad Hafez and Iraqi-born writer and speaker, Ahmed Badr. It also featured a short video documentary by Maher Mahmood, and a mini-concert by Arab music group, Sharq Attack, performing the music of Hugo Kauder. A panel discussion was also held exploring how the refugee experience is expressed through creative outlets, enriches the cultures of new home countries, and inspires activism.
